Amateur

Since the first release 30 years ago of the Dictionary of the Small Masters of Paintings, L’Amateur has become the reference for the art and craft market. The actual catalogue contains more than hundred titles and adds around fifteen new titles per year. L’Amateur is well known for its books on furniture, ceramics and crafts in general. L’Amateur also established its reputation on quotation books and illustrated dictionaries.

Marval has been the photography reference for more than 30 years. First specialised in contemporary art, the Marval Catalogue slowly made its way towards high quality prints of photography working closely with the authors. Prestigious photographers such as William Klein, Ralph Gibson, Guy Le Querrec, Joel-Peter Witkin, trusted Marval. Young artists who are tomorrows’ next trend also found their place in the catalogue (Jean-Philippe Reverdot, Thierry Girard, Dolorès Marat, Jacqueline Salmon …).
